High Country Hunt, WA

I was wondering how many of you WA hunters have hunted the High Country hunts? I was able to get time off work last minute and was going to go and give it a try. I have done a little scouting in the high country but not enough to expect to get anything big. I'm considering the Alpine Wilderness area.

GO! It beats staying home and going to a wedding opening weekend of the High Hunt, like I am doing. Just get out there and enjoy yourself. Maybe you'll get lucky and find the buck you're looking for. And yes, there are plenty of bucks in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area. Scott

The last time I stayed home from the high hunt opener for a wedding I charged right in the next week and shot a decent 4 point. It sure was hard that day being in town knowing the season was on up there though......
