My dad took these pictures in 1988 on a family trip we took to Yellowstone. This was right as the fires were getting going and we were headed out ASAP....

Makes me excited for summer!

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?
 
Nice bulls. Dont see elk like that anymore in the park. Only elk I see is in mammonth.
 
this pic makes me sad in a way, i grew up in jackson and i remember that fire well, but what breaks my heart is the elk are hammered in yellowstone from the wolves and hunting the migration hunt was the best elk hunting ever! you had really good chances of killing a 300+ bull everyyear not having to wait 7 to 20 years to hunt the big boys, freakin wolves
