Unit 43 colorado 3rd season

Has anyone ever hunted this unit? Does it have potential for a good buck?

It does, but by 3rd season, the deer are down in the lower elevations, and most of the lower elevation land in this unit is private. There is some public access, but it is limited and tends to be a little crowded for my taste. If you can get access to some of the private property, you can do well.

I hunted 43 several years ago 2nd season (there was a decent amount of snow). I concur with what DocGlenn said. I only saw a few does and smaller bucks. When I drove out, I saw a lot of deer on private land, including 2 very nice bucks. I think there are good bucks in the unit, access is a different story though. Hope this helps.
