Az. Archery, Bull, Unit #6B (09/13 thru 09/28/2013)

This can be a tough unit to hunt. I dont know if your looking for a guide, but steve chappell has taken some really nice bulls there for clients in the past. Steve is an awesome elk hunter, and maybe you should give him a call, he might have some tips for ya. Good luck regardless.

There are some great bulls in 6B. You wont have any problem finding them! Leave me your e-mail. I will give you some great starting points!

The problem with 6b in my opinion, is it gets absolutely hammered by opening day. It doesnt look like a lot of tags but between the campers and the hunters, don't plan on hunting the bulls you've found scouting where you've found them prior to the hunt. I know bulls tend to move as they get pressured , but 6b bulls seem to really get up and go when every on e shows up. It's knowing where they are going to go to as the hunt progresses that's most important. 6b isnt very big and those tags do one hell of ashuffle on the good bulls. Although a great bull, i wouldn't plan on seeing anything over 365, and a common herd bull is around 310. Having a guide will increase your chances of being in one of the spots where they will show up after they move from their obvious positions before the hunt. Good luck and have fun.
