manti early riffle limited entry help

I have drawn a early riffle tag for the manti elk this year , i am very familiar with the salina creek and mollys nipple area , i was wondering if it was your hunt would you concentrate in that area or would you look at some other areas that my have bigger bulls and where would you suggest . not looking for anybodys favorite spot just some ideas . thanks

You know the Salina area, that is half the battle. I know of some big elk on the north end of the unit however one issue you will come accost on the north end is there is not as many elk as on the south end.

was 4-5 years ago.............

Rick,

There are quite a few animals in the Salina creek area the only problem is the age class has dropped significantly in the last few years most are in the 280 -300 class now.
I have heard of a few good bulls on the Ferron side.
Spend some time up there this summer and you will see what I am talking about.
