In Heat -- muleys and whitetails

Would a mule deer buck be attracted by whitetail doe scent or visa versa?

For example,
If a mule deer buck came across the trail of a whitetail doe in peak estrus, would he be attracted to her, and or would he try to breed her?

I understand that she may not be receptive of the mule deer buck, but are mule deer bucks attracted by whitetail estrus in the same why that they are within their own species?

Yeah, he's in safe hands now...just not my safe hands I wished I had that skull.

I was pretty bummed out to hear of him dying. We had a ton of snow last year and it took some great bucks right after the rut.

I do have some images of him before he died. I'll try and post some soon.
