The West Fork Complex Fires increased by 18 square miles yesterday in the San Juan Mountains. The Papoose part of the fire crossed the continental divide South into Williams Creek (Unit 77) yesterday. Before yesterday there had been a few days with slower growth. They are holding some ground to the Northwest near Rio Grande Reservoir. They reduced the closure area July 3 on the Northeast and Northwest sides in unit 76. Ken

My son and the Snake River Hotshots from Idaho have been there 2 weeks. Trying as hard as they can, but Mother nature hasn't been cooperating very much so far! Pray for rain and cooler temps.
