This may have already been discussed but I'll ask the question anyways. What is the best method for hunting mulies? Here are some ways I know of Spot and stock, still hunting, stand hunting, driving, brushing, tracking & rattling. Tell me your preference and why. After this year I think I am sold on Spot and stock.

It's all dependent on what type of terrain you are hunting. Spot and stalk is all that I have ever done. They really aren't as predictable as whiteys. Thats what I love. It's hunting.....not sitting and shooting.

WTF kind of question is this? That's like asking what the best way's to pick up chicks are!!

J/K...I'm generally a "spot & stalker" myself, but the ultimate answer is "you do what the situation requires you to do to take that particular animal".

Try to learn them all and you'll be a better, well rounded hunter.
I'm still learning ;-)

Do you find it best to spot in the bar and then stalk them home or do you spot and stalk them at the grocery store? Generally I have found that stalking in the bars is best if done early. You get a lot of ground UNshrinkage if you stalk to late after too much to drink. They nearly always seem to get bigger and uglier after you've got 'em. :)

Sorry I couldn't resist.

I got in trouble for the "KONA trail cam" post i replied on, but i can't help play this one out as well....it's the little devil in me i guess.

Actually NV....i hang out in the produce section of the grocery store, you can learn just about everything you'd ever need to know right there. :)

in some places there is only one place for the deer to get water and every deer in the area will eventually come to it, thats where i would plan an ambush. mostly i just spot and stalk because its alot less boring.

beat this

Here is one of the main reasons I ask this question: If you are using the spot and stalk and another hunter is using still hunting or even driving them. This could ruin your hunt. If both hunters get there at the same time who is right?

I guess whoever is the toughest or the quickest shot i suppose! ;-)

Not really sure the answer to that question, but i'd imagine it's possible for that too happen.
Hopefully you could come to some kind of agreement before the other things i mentioned happen.
