Utah spike elk

I have hunted spike bull elk in utah for the last 10 plus years and have only taken one spike. I live in northern utah and would like to stay up this way. Just trying to better my chances if anyone has any info they would like to share that would be great thanks

to ME, and maybe only me, that sounds like a pretty good success rate. i figure anyone who is consistantly filling tags on the spike hunt is either really, really good, or should go buy more lottery tickets, 'cuz they are dag-gum lucky!!

I have had an 80% success rate where I have been going. In the last 13 years, I have had 10 spike tags and filled 8. Its not because I am lucky or good. In fact, far from. But I hunt where there are plenty of elk. If you hunt where there are plenty of elk, a spike should be very doable.
