That 5 x 6 would have to lose a point on that 6 side, Love those huge Whaletail Bulls.

Byron, I got your message and PMed back. Thanks for getting back with me.

kazkammo, no I don't have a tag this year, but I might buy a spike tag. My son and one of my close hunting partners both have tags for the Fish Lake area and I hope to spend some time down there with them.

Like monstermuleyhunter mentioned these bulls photos were shot over in Colorado in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was the first time I had ever been there. It won't be the last God willing!

Although these next two photos don't have velvet, I think a few of the elk guys and gals will like them.

And although this one has some velvet, its the wrong species, but hopefully a few will enjoy seeing it too. It most likely had its roots from right here in Utah.

And here are a couple more elk photos, but I took these on the Fishlake Unit a couple weeks ago.

Have a good one and thanks to all of you for looking and taking the time to comment. Bill

This photo was shot at about 12,000 feet. And to think how peaceful and clam the elk were and yet one month from today this will be distant past, as they will "hard horned" and rest will seldom come. What a difference the next 30 days will bring in their lives! From best friends, to bitter enemies! From a life of leisure, to one of non stop! Only in the wild kingdom! Isn't it marvelous?

Have a good one. BB

I love the picture of the bulls in the water. That bull on the right is simply perfection in my eyes. Man the good Lord is a heck of an artist ain't he?

Hunt Hard. Shoot Straight. Kill Clean. Apologize to No One.
