This is the pic of the buck my nephew shot today in area 033 Nevada. Made a great stalk to 197 yards and placed the bullet through both lungs. He cant wait to go again. On the way down the mountain a lady with NDOW stoped us and told us she ran the pictures and magazine article department. After she wrote down the story of the hunt she took a ton of pictures and told us to look for it in future magazines. Just goes to show that it doesnt have to have huge horns to be interesting. On another note...I was not at all impressed with the sheldon area. Hunted and scouted for 5 days. We walked miles and seen hundreds of deer but nothing bigger than a 15 inch 3x3. Dont think that area stands up to the name. But for a 12 year old kid it was awesome.

Wow.. Judging from the smile on your nephews face I don't think he would have been any happier if it was a 180" buck.. That's great about him being featured in a upcoming story. I think you have a confirmed deer hunter for life. Congratulations to him and you for taking the time to take him hunting and making the hunt a huge success that he will never forget.

its the ammount of work, fun and the experience that makes it a trophy, not the ammount of horn on the deer's head.
