LAST EDITED ON Aug-03-13 AT 04:15PM (MST)[p]Here's one of the better elk we've got on our wasatch camera. Where do you put him for score? This is the best pic. None with spread or anything - just this one.
Looking at it again, he's bigger than I originally gave him credit for.

FWIW, I've got a 340 hanging on my wall, and this bull appears to be considerably bigger.

I got 338 with my guesstamates, so I will say 335-345.

I'll break the conservativeness and say he breaks 350 pretty easy. Guess 365, transplant him down to Fish Lake and I'll take him :)

I tend to agree with you, Gled. As I said, I've got a 340 on my wall that I'm looking at right now and the bull in the picture is quite a bit bigger. He's got great G3s and good length all around. Mass and width are tricky but the length is there. I'd say this dude is 350 minimum and probably closer to 360. A friend killed a nice bull in the same area a couple of years ago that looks a lot like this one and it scored 362.

I'm with you dryfly, I have a 348 bull and this bull looks a little bigger. Mine is hard horned and this one isn't so the score could be a little smaller after he lose his velvet.
But he is a shooter bull to me.

I agree he is closer to 350 than 330 - I would guess around 345". I think as a general rule bulls tend to be a bit bigger in real life than they look in the trail cam pics, at least that has been our experience.

Do you have a tag? If so, I hope you or a buddy puts an arrow in him and can tell us the actual score soon. Good luck-that is a beautiful bull that I would be very happy with!!

I am going with 360. Very similar to my brothers bull from a few years back. I hope you have a tag and get a shot at him in a few weeks.
Good luck!

When I first saw that photo on the trail cam I guessed that bull at 340-350. He could be a little bigger or a little smaller. Historically, I have found that I generally field score animals on the low side. Either way, he is a shooter in my book. I hope he shows up on that water hole while I am sitting there with my bow and my Wasatch archery tag in hand. Then we can know for sure exactly what he scores.

Less than two weeks and counting!

I made my list and checked it twice: I think he'd score just shy of 350". Damn sure big enough on the Wasatch with a bow or gun!

Any other angles?
It is hard to see his first points on both sides but he has the making of a 360 bull.
