If you read the article, the elk was killed and an antler tip gored the man. It says he will make a full recovery.

Maybe it was the same elk that gored the peruvian? Gores another guy while it is dead this time. Hope the man is ok! I just liked that he "snagged" the elk. Was he fishing?

The guy in this story is a good friend and fortunately I hear he is going to be OK. He was hunting Elk by himself while others in his party were hunting deer. After killing the elk he accidentally was stabbed in the neck when he tried to roll it over.
Pretty scarey especially when he had to hike back out to get help and call. At any rate he is a great guy and I am thankful he was able to survive!
Can't be too careful when you are solo.

I second that!

We own property right next to him so I know it's not exactly the hub of civilization. Thank God for cell phones!

Brad is a tough old bird, tough as nails and full of grit! I was shocked when I heard his dead elk "got him" and about killed him.

We've all been around a bunch of dead elk and this is a great reminder that anything can happen, even the strange stuff!

Anybody watch that TV show "1000 ways to die"? Here's one more way but Brad cheated death this time!
