What would you like to know? I got him in the south eastern AZ. I posted it because I just read that there aren't any big bucks in the desserts of AZ. So now we know there are!!!! What do you think? A picture is worth a thousand words!!!
Right now allot of the whitey's are coming down to the lower elevations of the mountain because of the snow. I was wheelin at the base of the mountian yesturday and saw quite a few. You going to bow hunt?
I was wondering how much snow it takes for these deer to move down, not much I take it!
Heck ya I'll be hunting some time around Christmas when I am off work. Speaking of that I work with Eric Thomas, any relation (I looked at your profile)? Dave Thomas? All PD employees.
Are you bowhunting?
Jeff
No, not bow hunting. If you fill a tag when drawn you can't purchase a bow tag and still hunt. Or at least that is the way I read the book? If I am wrong I will be out hunting soon!!!!
I imagine if you shot a deer in Jan. you are done for the year but put in for a point at least, that is what I would do.
Yeah I wouldnt mind seeing some more pictures of your deer.
I saw a whitey running through the brush by the swift trail road (or whatever its called) when I took the family out for a 'drive' around sunset today. Couldnt tell what it was. Have you chased whitetail much around here? I moved from CO last year and these buggers are new to me!
LAST EDITED ON Dec-13-07 AT 12:44PM (MST)[p]Well mostly coues whiteys. I have hunted them quite a bit, I have to say if you can get access to the outskirts of farms etc you will do well. But there are so many on the mountain it's not even funny. When there is snow like there is now allot of them come down to the lower elevations. You will start seeing allot of them in the foot hills.
