Henry Mtns.

My uncle had the muzzleloader tag and he said that three out of four tagged out. But the biggest one was lake a 28 inch or something around there, not quite sure though.

Who ever shot that buck, many congrats. I have seen pics of this deer live taken two years ago by a popular MM guy. I'm sure he'd like to share them and the video with lucky hunter.

Cool to see a FORTY INCHER hit the ground.

have not heard on rifle, but a semi relative (my dads wife's son in laws brother) how is that for round about relation. Had a muzzle tag and shot an incredible Typical. alas I do not haver permission to post but one of the prettiest bucks I have seen from down there. (I love big typicals)

I was lucky enough to draw a muzzleloader tag this year for the Henry's. Out of the 6 tags, 4 of us had tagged out by Thursday at noon. We were camped by a guy from Smithfield who shot a 29" wide 4 point that grossed 188" (my measurement- not professional). Another fellow got a 24" 4 point on opening day from the road. My dad saw that one and said the guy got a little excited. Another buck was killed on opening morning that was 32" wide 5x7, I believe. Very heavy, nice buck. Don't know the score though. I also have heard of an 11x11 that will be on the cover of next month's MuleyCrazy that was killed later in the muzzleloader hunt. Oh yeah, I also got a decent buck. A 26" wide 5x5 that scores between 198 and 202 (again, my unprofessional measuring). It was an awesome hunt. I wish I would have seen that Sportsmens bu

i heard that mossback and them killed like a 220 or 230 with a 217 inch frame! then i heard muleycrazy killed like a 218 with a 206 frame! there sure are some nice bucks down there

tbone, congrats on a great looking buck.

cast, no its not the same buck. Two years ago he was a 33-34 inch 9x7 with the same double drops.

THERE WAS A 220" BUCK TAKEN ON THE RIFLE HUNT, NOT GUIDED BY MOSSBACK EITHER, IT IS A INCREDIBLE BUCK!

anyone know who the 42" buck was taken by? Looks like one of them Christensen Arms guns in the picture. That should make Mossback a little peeved?

Rand Newby from Monroe shot this buck,my nephew and he does work for Chrisrenson arms

WOW! Congratulations to the lucky hunter! What an incredible buck!

Yelum, you never cease to amaze me with your ability to match up sheds, bucks and pictures from year to year etc! I actually think you might be right with this one too. It sure looks to be the same buck as the one that I photographed down there in January of 2006. My pictures are terrible because the buck was really just too far away for photos but I did get awesome video of him at one point from about 100yds! Both bucks never even knew I was there! It was sure neat to watch them. I can't imagine being lucky enough to hunt that area... If anyone knows how to get in touch with the lucky hunter tell him that I'd be more than happy to get him a copy of the video if he's interested.

I apologize for the poor picture quality...

LAST EDITED ON Oct-29-07 AT 02:56PM (MST)[p]NvrEnuf I live in the same town as that lucky sucker and talk to him and his brothers very often. I could give them the video because i know they'll be interested in seeing it. Let me know

I saw a buck taken of the heneries with a muzzle loader. it scored around 230ish. the hunter is from american fork. It looks like the hogan buck that was taken off there last year but 30 inches smaller

Ya my uncle is the one that shot the five by seven that your talking about. It was actually a six by seven if you count the eyeguards. It is also on the front page of huntingillustrated.com with me him and our family.

My friend just sent me a picture of a buck he guided for on the Henry's and it's awesome. It's a huge typical with a kicker off the right G2. Looks to be well over 200.

what are you talking about i would rather have the buck that you took over the sportsman's buck. yes the sportsman's buck is 42" wide but that is it there are no forks. your deer has everything that i look for in a deer. if i had the sportsman's tag and these two bucks were side by side yours would be the one that i dropped.

Great pics Cast, thanks for sharing. What a thrill to have spent any time in that place. May have to do it sometime.

X2 Cast!
Look at the clubs on that big three in the last pic!
Thanx for sharing!

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.

A hunt partner took a 35", 206 gross off the Henry's last week. He is one of those super "lucky" hunters who make their own luck by working hard. He took a monster 270" non-typical archery buck out of Colorado in 2005 that made many mag covers.
