I was able to tag a great bull this year and decided he would be the one i mount. I usually do my own european mounts and this one deserves more i think. Only thing is, i dont know how i want to mount him. So, i was wondering if everyone wanted to share some pics of how they mounted theres and hpw they look from across the room as well as up close. Thanks a lot!!!

Awesome bull congrats. I like docdogs mount also.

Government doesn't fix anything and has spent trillions proving it!!!
Let's face it...After Monday and Tuesday, even the calender says WTF!

When I got my big bull a few years ago I went to Cabellas and Sportsmans and a couple of other sporting goods stores and walked around and looked at all the mounts they had on the walls. I found the couple I liked, took a digital photo, and then discussed it with my taxidermist before making my final choice.

Another factor was where I was planning on hanging it in my house.

If you cut the cape back far enough you should have about a year to decide on which mount your taxidermist will need to buy. Pedestals take up a lot of floor space. Wall mounts need a high ceiling most of the time. But If I understand dogdoc, you can get a pedestal mount and put it on the wall or a pedestal ? I like that idea. Just gives you more options as you move from house to house.
How about telling us a little about your hunt. That's a nice bull. What state or unit ?

I had a guide on a moose hunt asked me if I was going to mount it. I told him sure, but I would like a little privacy. He turned 14 shades of red.

LOL That is how it's done before you pull the trigger on him.

Nah they run to fast. Hard to catch them.
