Last year I set a personal goal take a branch antlered bull and it has consumed my thoughts ever since. After missing a 6-point bull opening morning last year I was pretty bummed and never did get another opportunity passing on a few spikes. Going into this year with new hope, I was lucky enough to take this bull Sunday morning of opening weekend. He is not the biggest bull on the mountain but I am happy as it is my first branch antler bull (my goal) and on a general OTC tag.

Congrats on your first bull! Hoping I can get my first bull also this year.would be more than hapoy with that bull.I have to wait till late November in Montana. Thanks for posting, glad to hear a post about a successful hunt. Lately its been mostly wounded bull storys.

Awesome bull! I read an article in Outdoor Life years ago that I agree with. The title was "Any elk is a good elk".

They are tough animals to hunt.

Nice! I have been on a mountain or two where that WOULD be the biggest bull! HA HA!

Good job.
