This is a pic of my dads CO 07 buck. I got to go on the hunt with him and we had a blast. There was 5 guys with 2nd season deer tags in are group and i was the tag along for fun and bought a elk tag just in case. All the guys filled with 4 point or better bucks and 2 guys got pretty good bucks. My dads buck was the best of the group. He is a hair over 30 wide on the frame and is a 5x5.On a side note all the bucks we killed all had 21 to 23 inch ears but this buck had almot 25 inch ears. My dad passed this buck up the 2nd day of the season and then shot him on the morning of the seventh day. I acually spotted this buck at 10:00am walking across a wide open sage flat. I showed him to my dad through the spotting scope and he remembered the same buck from before. He thought he was 27 wide and i thought he might be a little better than that. We put the stalk on him and with my hand held vidieo camera we cut the distance down in more than half and my ole man took him at a hair over 400 yards with his 30-378. I got the whole thing on tape and i think i had more fun than he did. I think i had more fun running around with my camera and trying to help other guys fill there tags on good bucks than if i had the tag myself. He is not a monster in my dads collection of horns but we both agree it might be the most fun we have ever had togather. This is his 13th buck over the magical 30 inch mark and he probbly could care less but i dont mind bragging about him. Not one of his bucks have ever come from a guided hunt they are all DIY type of hunts. The other good buck was a 29 inch real heavy 4 point that my uncle took.
