Was able to take my first elk yesterday. After a short 2.6 mile hike, saw three bulls feeding out in the sunshine. Was able to get above them and they fed right up to me. Shot him at 18 yards and he only went 40 yards before tipping over. I would also like to give a very big thank you! to Mike, Holly, Jason and colby. These guys were awesome. They watched the whole thing happen and helped me pack it out. They were the nicest group of people i have ever met out in the woods.
