Well, I should had a great hunt this year. My dad and uncle Dennis came out for a week long hunt and we had a great time. The wind on Friday before the 2nd season opener worried me a bit, but it cleared up nicely on Saturday morning.

I passed on three bucks on Saturday. I told myself that he would have to be good to go down on opening day. Sunday rolled around and I saw a small 3x3. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't have taken him. I had just dropped my drawers for my morning ritual. I'm sure you've all been there too.....

I got up to where my dad was supposed to have the truck and realized that he didn't put it where I thought he was going to so I checked out another ridge. By now it's around 10:00. I dropped down onto some boulders and kicked out a couple of doe. They weren't too spooked but went down and up the other side. I heard a crash from behind them and my buck walked out. He gave me a great neck shot, so I dropped him at 150 yards in his tracks.....never knew what hit him.

After taking him home and butchering him, I got to come back and hunt some more with dad and watch him make a great 300 yard shot on a buck. My uncle Dennis made another great shot on his buck and we went home three for three!

Nice... I especially like the deer head totem pole with the toddler. Some people give their kids lincoln logs and some people give them deer heads.

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky to have a couple of kids that don't get grossed out by that. They like grossing their friends out, though. My oldest girl will be hunting with me in the next couple of years, hopefully.

Nice job..
You should nickname the deer:
LARRY
CURLY and
MOE!

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.
