Big buck Finally

Well I have eaten a lot of tags to get a buck that grosses over the 180 mark and it took me two years of hunting this buck to finally connect on him. He gross scored 189 I saw this buck last hunting season and decided to let him go one more year last year he was a good 170 class 4X4 and this July when I was scouting and filming I found him again. That would be the only day I would see him until the day I killed him. Makes you wonder how many big bucks you don't even get to lay eyes on. Well this is him hope you enjoy.

That is a great buck with some cool extras. That passing on nice bucks realy pays off. Last year a friend of mine passed on a nice buck on the last day of the season. This year he took the buck and it is by far his best ever.

Glad the passing thing worked out for you!

It screwed me this year...well, actually the MT FWP screwed me by allowing for a general season rut slaughter.

I passed on a great buck. Good mass, GIANT back forks, pretty decent fronts, SUPER mass, and an 7 or 8 inch in-line point. Would probably score in the 170s somewhere. He was maybe 23 wide and very tall, but he had a bunch of little bumps on his back forks that were threatening to become cheaters next year. So I let him go, hoping he would turn into a super buck...and then the rut comes and some chucker shoots him...
