Fillmore, Oak Creek deer

Is anyone willing to shed some light on the Fillmore, Oak Creek deer unit for me? The past 7 years I have been putting in for the Book Cliffs. So far all that I have been able to draw is the UNSUCCESSFULL letter. I recently took on new employment so my days a field are going to be greatly diminished for the next couple of years. As a result I'm looking at putting in for the Oak Creek unit because it's closer allowing me more time to scout the unit if I end up drawing. I don't know much about the unit. I was hopping that you guys could fill me in on what to expect if I do decide to put in for the unit. I'm looking to get information on what the terrain is like? What the deer herd is like? Is there a bunch of 20-23 inch bucks like the Books or are there bigger bucks to be found? How difficult of a hunt would it be with a muzzleloader? If my memory serves me correct the rifle hunt is the first part of October, is that because the deer move off the unit early? How does this effect the success on the rifle hunt? Thanks in advances for any information your willing to share. If you don't want the information to be public information please send me a PM instead.

Thanks

It is a great unit. I don't live that far away from it at all. I do a lot of scouting around the unit and have filmed many bucks over 25 inches this year. I have put in for it every year. I have 5 bonus points and hopefully will draw out next year for archery.
