SW Desert LE archery elk

CC just got hit for $800. Looks like I'll be in the SW Desert for archery season! Anyone willing to help a guy out with any info would be appreciated.

Glad you drew a great tag! It's a fun area to hunt. Have you ever been on the unit? Will you be there during the early part of the hunt or the last week of the hunt? I'd sit water the early part of the hunt, but the later part of the hunt is what I would focus on. Get with me if you need some area to hunt.

I drew the same tag last year and posted this same question on MonsterMuleys. . . I didn't receive any replies but after spending 45+ days on the unit and seeing dozens of absolute trophy bulls I would be more than happy to share what I learned. PM sent.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. Will get some PMs out to you soon. I have never been on the unit save for fishing Milford Reservoir. I do know some locals though and have other friends who have hunted it before. Will probably head down the last week of August some time and stay till I shoot an elk or the season ends.
