Here in Washington we have some great limited draw rut hunts. Myself,my son and cousin were lucky enough to draw this year. When the weather is there, you can kill a toad. We did not have the weather at all....With some help from several "local to the area friends" and some very hard hunting we were able to take 4 point for all of us! This was a great hunt as we had my 72 year old Dad and 70 year old uncle in camp with us all week.It was driving them crazy when we would come back to camp and tell them of all the bucks we had passed up! In there day in this state any buck was a shooter. All in all a great time was had by everyone involved. Thank you to all of you guys on this site who have helped me make the transition from "Elk hunter" to "Deer hunter" My quest for a 190 class buck must go on!

Great bucks even if you must hunt more for a 190 buck. Glad your family members were able to be there also.

awesome hunt congrats. how many years did it take to draw?
did you see any toads out there?

awesome hunting with family
thanks for sharing

Never saw a one, and belive me I put my time and miles in. It took me 8 points but the other two guys drew with only 2!

impressive bucks, and nice work. I enjoy reading of people who work hard and it pays off...

8 pts and the others had 2... so did you guys put in as a group and if so did they average the points or combine them?
ive got 7 for sheep goat moose elk and 6 for deer. hopefully i dont draw more than 1 at a time.
i talked to a cousin who hunted by Leavenworth in the general season and he said the deer werent out of the high country yet.
no snow to push them down. sounds like a tough year up there.

thanks again for sharing
