How about a Father's Day Big Bull Photo Contest. Share your best pics of your dad with a big bull(s). Everyone who shares a photo will be entered and I'll randomly pick one winner around June 13th and send them the Idaho's Greatest Elk Book. Let's see 'um!!!!
Not a big bull, but the ONLY one my Dad ever got. He only hunted elk one time, and after all the work making a kill happen, he rode back to camp with the elk! (A 6x5 Nevada Bull)
My dad's 2011 Nevada bull. What a great hunt with my dad and both brothers. He did the shooting and we did the packing. We couldn't have asked for a better hunt. He doesn't look that big, but he is a heavy 8x8. Saw him opening morning and dad said that's the bull he wanted. Took us 2 full days to get him. He was a VERY smart old bull. Now for the pictures haha...
This was 2009, from left my oldest bro, my uncle, little bro, myself, my cousin, older bro and my dad. 7 for 7 in 5 days, it was a week to remember! Hopefully we get a chance to try and top it again soon.
LAST EDITED ON May-25-14 AT 10:45AM (MST)[p]My dad hunted hard, with a humble heart, and took me every chance my mom would allow. Like so many other fathers out there, he's the reason I live for Septembers and look forward to the day when I can pass on what he gave me. Happy early fathers day to all the mountain men dads out there.
A photo of my old man in the 80's with a 300" Colorado five point.
LAST EDITED ON Jun-04-14 AT 08:32AM (MST)[p]Northern Utah 5pt bull in Monte Cristo area. My dad kept the antlers in our shed for years hidden in the back behind all the clutter. Every now and then we would go in there and dig out the antlers and stare at them. As a young boy, they seemed larger than life. We finally had the bull mounted about 8 yrs ago.
My Dad took his first bull with the bow in 2011! We could not of been happier with this Utah 6x6 off an open bull unit. The grins tell the story. Pictured are myself, my Dad and my brother. Way to go Dad and Happy Father's Day.
Here are a couple pictures of dad and I. Thank you for every thing you do and teaching me so much. I LOVE YOU DAD.
Here is a pic of a small bull we found tangled in wire. Dad and I roped him and knocked him down like a steer so the game warden could cut it off his antlers
LAST EDITED ON Jun-07-14 AT 09:27AM (MST)[p]Here is my Dad's(arrowone4me) big bull. Was great to be there as we were calling/chasing him around in thick trees. Dad finally got a very quick shot through a small window and made it count.
