Jim Horn early season calling

This Sep I am gonna take a stab at Jim Horn's routine for early season or silent calling method. I picked up a primos double read imperial plate, primos hoochie mama, and a carltons fight n cow call. For estrus sounds I got a primos imaka da bullz crazy, and a woodwise hyper hot. I think the wood wise sounds better than the imaka da bullz crazy. I was told to stay with wood barrelled estrus calls. What do you guys think?

I take 3 calls with me. A mouth diaphragm call, the primos single reed, and a hoochie mamma. Sometimes it takes mixing it up. That said, last year I called 3 bulls up in about 2 hours using only the diaphragm. My partner shot the 3rd one! You really can't beat the mouth reed in most situations.

I like Primos palate plate diaphragm calls. The "plate" part keeps the reed from tickling the roof of my mouth. Start now and you can get it right before you go
