My father owns some Cabin property above Mt.Pleasant and there is so much land above it that looks like really great hunting territory but I live the Central region where I have hunted my whole life. Do I try out south eastern and hunt more primitave land or should I stay in central and Hunt the same areas again. I film some really good quality mule deer every winter in the central region, but then agian I see some really good bucks below the cabin this time of year as well. I'm just caught in a bind and would like to hear some different opions on the subject.

Personally, I would hunt wherever you will have the most fun. For me, that would likely be where I could see some quality animals and the fewest amount of hunters.

My buddies and I have hunted the Southern Region for the past ten years and thought we would try out the Central Region this year for the first time. We mainly hunted day trips from our houses and mixed in a few backpack trips. Had a blast everytime we went and surprised ourselves with some nice bucks. Having a good time is most important and trying some new country is part of those good times.

If I was you I'd take me with you and let me shoot the buck thats just below 200".

I'm not in a position to give advise on which area to hunt. I would however suggest for the future that you seek advise on apple trees. Once you determine those that would do well planted around that cabin... Then again, i like apples.
