Utah Youth Any Bull tag - plz help

The subject says it all. My 13 yr old son is excited to say the least.

I have done some map study of the possible areas, and it looks like we'll probably start looking at the North Slope or somewhere off of Monte Cristo...unless we can tap into some real MM sources.

We'll have a couple of days in July and a few days in August before his school starts to do some scouting.

His goal is beating my only bull, a '96 305" Book Cliffs bull.

BIG BIG thanks for any "start here" kinds of info. It is likely to be our only bull elk hunt together.

Trying to better a "305" bull on the youth hunt is a VERY,very high goal to achieve!

Dont be pass'in any oppertunitys on a raghorn, even a spike..
Or you'll probbly go empty.

Agree with Goofyelk. A good rag horn is a great elk on this hunt and for a youth a great trophy.
