Never been a desert elk hunter before, always gone to the mountains and timber. Anyone care to offer any tips on this unit? Ill be heading up in a few days to start looking around and see whats there. Hoping to get there for 3 or 4 scouts before archery opens up. Thanks

I believe there was a topic on this a year or two back. If I remember correctly this is the unit right by Rawlins. I was informed (by a fish and game officer) that the elk on this unit roam and graze like cattle.
