AZ Super Raffle Tag Bull

HPO would like to give a big congratulations to John Eckhardt for harvesting an awesome bull with his Arizona Super Raffle Tag. This bull was estimated to be 15 years old and had become a legend around Flagstaff. It was time for John to put his tag on him. Thanks to everyone that helped out John on his once in a life time hunt opportunity. Someone has to win that super raffle tag, make sure you put in for your chance next year. great bull, congrats to him! 15 years old is a crazy old age for a bull!!
There are a few 11-12 year old bulls shot every year but 15, wow!

Monster bull! Why would they butcher that head like that you would definetly think that gets mounted or save that cape...??

You probably didn't notice the cape that is rolled up in the white game bag under the bull?s head. What you are seeing is where the head was cut off leaving the bone/neck exposed. Here in Arizona it gets hot this time of year and it is best to leave the cape and neck open to the air. We had it to the taxidermist within a couple hours of being harvested. John is going to have a great shoulder mount to add to his trophy room.
