LAST EDITED ON Sep-03-14 AT 10:56PM (MST)[p]Just wanted to give a heads up. After 15 years of putting my daughter in for the Wasatch early rifle hunt, she finally drew the tag this year. After drawing the tag, she informed me that she and her husband "andymansavage" on MM, were expecting. Fast forward to now. She's 6 months pregnant, and having some issues. With much hesitation, and hoping that she would be able to make the hunt, her doctor highly recommended against it. So with sadness, she had to turn her tag back in. We really hope that whoever gets the call, and accepts the tag, has a hunt of a lifetime. Good luck to the lucky recipient.

That a bummer (hunt). Although, good luck to her and her husband, a new member of the family will probably garner more memories than any hunt.

Mark, that is a tough call, but the right one. Hopefully she will draw it again soon. Best of lusk to themand the new little one on the way!!!

Hope everything goes OK!

But?

What was AndyMan Thinking?

Timing is everything!:D

Sorry Andy!

Couldn't resist!

Hope all goes Well!

We do feel bad, that for whoever gets the tag, it wasn't much notice. For us, scouting is about 90% of the fun on the hunt, and it would have been nice for the lucky tagholder to have had that fun as well. Anyone that knows our family, knows that this was to be another hunt of a lifetime. Candis is a trooper, and she wanted to do this hunt no matter what. But with the problems she's having, we felt, as well as her doctor, that her safety and the well being of their baby were more important. She wants to thank you guys for your concern.

Sorry for the hunt loss but it is understandable. Now you have something to look forward to next year though. Congrats on the baby hope everything turns out well. Too bad I always enjoy Andy's videos and write-ups!

All of my children have been born in March/April... My anniversary is in May... I have avoided any conflicts with hunts in the fall with the exception of my wife's B-Day in October (but I had no involvement in that, so...)

I hope whomever got the tag will post up their hunt here for everyone to see, especially Andyman and his wife... It would be a bit of a consolation to see someone else was successful...

Browning,
I was thinking the same thing :) - I have 3 kids with Birthdays in February, March, and May. Anniversary is August 3rd so that one was kind of close for the bowhunt, but still in the clear. Wife's Bday is in March. All of that was strategically planned with the hunts in mind :)

On a more serious note - I hope things turn out well for AndyMan's wife and child. It would be hard to turn in a tag like that, but you all did the right thing. Mom and baby's health are far more important. Best of luck!!
