Book Cliffs Late Hunt

My grandpa finally drew out after many years of putting in. He's in his seventies, in good shape, but just doesn't have a lot of hunting years left in him. I'm looking for some advice on where to go for elk during the late hunt. I've been out to the Books plenty of times, just never been in November while focusing on finding elk. Any information about the elk habits that time of year will be greatly appreciated. Also would be interested to know what has been seen or killed out there this year so far. Will be making a few scouting trips in the weeks to follow, but hopefully won't be going in blind. We want to make this a great hunt for my grandpa, as it will probably be his last elk hunt. Thanks!

Use your glasses and spotting scope to find them in the Cedars and down lower. Hopefully have some snow to help you find them. Find some closer to roads for your grandpa that maybe in a small canyon that you can't see from Road by it out of the wind so you can sneak in easily for him. Be patient and it can turn around real quickly from no elk to hundreds of them.

I sent you a PM
