Idaho high country

Im 16 years old and i really want to do a high country backpacking hunt in idaho
i live in sun valley so i want to stay sort of close
ive been looking into the boulder mountains and pioneers, and shot my first buck (5x6) in the pioneers
i want something bigger next year and am preparing to work my ass off
any advise would be awesome

Nic you live in a good area. Start scouting around up there with glassing up high. They are there close to you.

I got a real nice buck about 11 to 12 miles west and north of you last year. East Fork (high) is an option. Try 30 miles east of you.

You live right smack dab in the middle of the deer. Just get up high and find one of them. All you've got to do is put in the effort and the hours. They are there.
