Hey all,
I just got back from a deployment and looking for a little help. I drew 21A for my first Elk hunt. My background is whitetail hunts in WI. I haven't been able to get a scouting trip in because I was out of the country, but I have bought BLM maps and done some studying via Google Earth. I was thinking of hunting from Chloride to the NW. I know this unit is right next to 16C, so should I favor that border? Or should I try to work more towards Hwy 59 and work near Sawmill peak? I have my brother and my buddy going with me and we are all in pretty good shape. I would be grateful for any information just to try to narrow it down a bit since it is such a long unit.
