CO 1st season

My buddy Bret took us into a new area this year for elk in first season. Dad couldn't hunt the old area anymore (too steep) and Tom has never shot an elk, so Bret had the perfect area for us to go.
By 11:30 opening morning the 4th bull was on the ground! All raghorns but sure had a great time, especially since Dad was able to enjoy another elk hunt in CO. Dad was super excited to have taken to bulls in one year, he never dreamed anything like that could happen, especially with the size of his first bull from UT.

Thanks Roy, yes I agree we had a tremendous year! I am sure Bret would have filled his deer tag too had he more time to hunt but with only 1 1/2 days its tough...
Dad still has his whitetail hunt in MN on his property, so may still have a another picture to share
