Just wondering if anyone has heard if the gov. tag has been filled??

I heard the last three Gov tag holders tried to get this buck and some guy shot him from his truck. Maybe old news, I dunno...

Are you talking about NM GOV Tags? If so they are both filled. I've seen the pixs, but been sworn to secrecy. They would KILL ME DEAD!!!

I was under the impression that the Utah Governor's tags ended Dec. 31st. Unless there was a huge change I missed.... Anyone???

Packout - funny I been lookin for the season dates for 15 minutes. The Utah Admin. Rule says the dates should be published in the proc. but it aint in the 08 guidebook. Maybe the size of the book isn't the only thing they skimped on.

the 2007 proc says Utah's "Sportsman" permit ends on Dec. 31. But, it doesn't give any dates for "conservation" permits.

Oh to have $$$$.

The conservation tag gets 15 days more than the sportsman tag........whats up with that.

I get that one!!! Wife's a RN in short stay and worked 2-4 hours of O/T all of Dec. Things definately slowed down after the New Year when 1/2 the doc's go on vacation (or hunt their Gov's tag!!!)

'07 wasn't a good year for Juneau (Alaska) docs either. One was involved in a mualing incident in Africa. "Accidentally" shot his partner in the leg trying to get a Leopard off him.

Another doc got mauled by a brownie on Admiralty Island - close to where I live and hunt a lot. He was totin' a 6mm rifle - WTF?

??? Someones gotta know. Of course, given the criticism one can expect with a gov tag photo - it might be that no photos were taken. ???
