I was reading the Fargo Forum this evening, and found this article interesting. What are your guys' thoughts and opinions on this?

It seems like total BS to me. The guy should have got a warning and the officer should have helped them figure out how to get the elk out of the marsh etc!

The wardens show is stupid and makes hunters look bad all the time! They would never go back and follow up with the full story!

This show is a joke. What a waste of tax payers dollars. My sons friend was attending college a couple of years ago and ran into issues with a warden and the film crew. They were questioned about a deer that was harvested and questioned on if it had been taken on private land. After being grilled and questioned for hours and an investigation he was found to be totally innocent. The warden was not happy and kept pushing, until he discovered a couple pheasants that they had killed and breasted out and thrown the carcasses away. He ticketed them for wasting wildlife for not taking the leg meat. I know I know leg meat is "edible" but really??? Wow!!! I personally think this show is a bad idea, interesting that the Outdoor channel is eager to air a show that puts sportsman in a bad light.

The rules are there for a reason, although this warden was out of line. I mostly enjoy the show, maybe since I am from Montana and recognize the areas shown. All wardens aren't out to write citations and "get" people. mtmuley

I think at least for me the Wardens are people who want to be like real cops. Therefor they want to show how much power.
I have never had an encounter with a wildlife officer that has been pleasant. It is like they were the last kid on the playground who was picked and so they try to flex their power.

It is too bad but I hate the Fish and Game.
This is a prime example. These people were not out to break the law here. They are not poachers out spot lighting and hunting without a tag or stealing trophy animals.

There should not have been anymore than to say the rules are really you need to tag ASAP for next time.
