My brother-in-law and I have 20 preference points and plan on hunting the first rifle elk season in CO unit 61. Is anyone familiar with what was previously Blue Creek Outfitters and is now Dominguez Outfitters? We would appreciate any guide references or general information anyone could share.

Thanks for the replies. I've contacted Garvey Brothers but they only take 6 hunters the first rifle season and will get back to me when they check their bookings. I also emailed Weimer Hunting Camp and am waiting for a reply.

I've been in the Weimer camp before. Great guys who work hard to get it done. I recommend them.

Garvey has a good reputation in the area as well.

Thanks for the replies. We booked with Austin Massey a couple of weeks ago. Unit 61 is considered a trophy unit and it sounds like a bull in the 320 range is very possible with patience and hard work. Everybody wants that 350+ bull and we will get there a few days early to scout on our own. Thanks again and I hope everyone has great hunts this year.
