WY elk 78 and 95

Howdy all,

I have a few questions about Wyoming elk units 78 and 95, for bulls. I know these are quite different hunts, but would love to talk to anyone who's hunted either one. I have the points to draw as a non-res and would plan on a DIY style hunt.

If you want to do it DIY then do not apply for 78. It is pretty much all private land or the public land is land locked enough that it is almost impossible. You would have to pay the trespass fee at very least and most of those folks won't let you just go on your own there.

It sounds like 78 is tough for a DIY guy. Anyone hunted the non-wilderness section of 95?

I've been working on one of the better ranches in 78 for the last couple weeks. They let people hunt. Haven't seen a good bull yet.
