LAST EDITED ON Jan-26-15 AT 07:19PM (MST)[p]Ok, Billy you got my interest and curiosity up. I have 14 pts and my buddy also has 14. What kind of deal/scheme are you working on? We are sitting on the fence right now trying to decide what to apply for or just another bonus pt this is year. Also we are non residents.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-26-15 AT 09:12PM (MST)[p]There are guys that do this every year to have a guaranteed tag in AZ. They study the draw odds and they know how many points puts them in the 20% pass. It works like this. Lets say there are two of you. You have 13 points and the guy that wants you to turn in with you has 2 points. Add them together and you have 15 together. Divide that number by 2 and you both now have 7.5 points each. At .5 AZ rounds up, so you now have 8 points each. Many people call them "point whores". Compensation ranges from buying a guided hunt for the tag you guys draw to paying for all your hunting expenses. Depends on the points your giving up, because usually you are settling for a hunt you could have drawn years ago as you already have had enough points to draw for many years. It will usually be an archery hunt or a hunt in one of the block units where the person taking your points has access to a private ranch. I am not saying it's wrong, this is just what I have heard and observed. A lot of times this works out very well for the guy putting in with the guy "buying points" as they usually have some inside info and knowledge of the unit they want to hunt.
