cmwu units utah

yup, son had a tag there last year.
try to hunt as late as you possibly can. Then plan on shooting a 2-3 year old deer.
You will have fun if you have those expectations.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-06-08 AT 06:07AM (MST)[p]I hunted it the last for days of the season last year (NOV 6-10)Lots of 2 and 3 year old bucks we saw 25 bucks in 5 days however they were all small...access around the place is good and the deer are in every nook and cranny. I will say that if you get off the roads and trails that your success rate is good for a buck in general. No I did not pull the trigger on any bucks.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-06-08 AT 02:58PM (MST)[p]Heck, it sounds like my hunt in and around Ingham Canyon on public ground was just as good as the CWMU! Hunted for 5 days. I bet we seen 100 +/- spikes, 2 points, and small 3's. I didn't pull the trigger either. That is some neat country though!

My son did shoot a yearly on the last day. We missed chances on 2 different 3 year old bucks.
We saw lots of deer, but not anything near a trophy. The operator was very straight forward and helpful.
You might find a big one, but I think it would be very very uncommon.

hey everybody thanks for the info one more thing when you say 2 3 year olds then basicly what I would be seeing is 20" range

Yes, 18-20 would be the 3 year old deer.
That could happen, if you hunt several days, late as you can, get off road. Not a big unit, so off road is easy.
