Deer Feeding

I would just like to inform people that the DWR isn't founding any feeding programs around the Heber, Midway area. SFW has stepped up to the plate and took charge in setting a program up to do so. I would like to express my appreciation to them .

I would also like to ask why is it that the Utah Division of Wildlife are so slow and all they have are a lot of excuses when it comes to feeding in areas. Like they say if you want to screw something up just let the Division step in and manage it.

Thanks for your help! Lots of snow is a understatment in the Heber area. Thats why it's important to have local SFW chaptures, to get things done locally. MDF members are helping in feeding program as well. Keep up the good work.

Deer feeding can be very helpful if done right.

Feed them pellets and a diet that deer can digest. Not grass hay.

We would'nt be feeding deer in Utah if we are over population objectives. We are far below carring capacity.

Get deer off the roads. Less deer car mortality.

Deer have been fed for years sucessfully, if done correctly.

You can't successfully feed deer if they are in very poor condition. They will still die.

My thanks to SFW for stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing. Thankyou! If there's anything I can do to help with the feeding please let me know.
