Question of the Day ... Which bull is best? Which would you take?

I don't know elk too well, so what's your take on score of each of these bulls?

These photos are from our contributor Peter Eades. Great photos!

Bull on the right. If the one on the left stepped out before the one on the right, I pull the trigger on either.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-30-15 AT 01:02PM (MST)[p]The bull all around on the right is solid. Good fronts and good beams. has weak thirds but those thirds are a pretty standard length. Other than that no complaints on the bull on the right.

The left bull is missing on brow tine on the right antler. weak fronts. Younger bull. weak royals. Still a decent bull. I like his longer back points. Mass is weak compared to the bull on the right.

left bull 320
right bull-345-355

Bull on right.
Yes, he's a "taker", "keeper", "shooter" or whatever else you want to call him.
I'd say "boom".

David on the left, goliath on the right. They aren't even close in size. gross on the left will be lucky to be 280 with the missing tine - net way lower than that. The bull on the right is a nice one, 340 range I'd guess.

the one on the left is 270 to 280 bull. A young bull with short tines and little mass.

Bull on the right 340 type bull. Longer tines, more mass, beam length, spread.

Neither one!

Both PISSCUTTERS!

bull on left does it even have a G2 on his right side??

Left bull no way.. 300-305

Right bull would have me lookin. 340-345 tough to pass

I agree with many above. The bull on the left isn't even a 300" bull.

The bull on the right is gonna go 340-350...

Bull on the right... :)

Not even a question. Bull on the right is better in every category.... Length, mass and he has all of his points. Plus, I love those dark antlers. I say he is 340+. The left bull will have a hard time reaching the 300 mark.

Seein as how everyone is shooting the one on the right i probably wont get a chance so i'll give some love to the left one :p

The bull on the right.
Look at the bodies. I like that sagging back and pot belly that the mature bulls get. The bull om the left looks thin - like he could use another year to bulk up and mature. I like the longer mane (right) too.

I like the white polished antler tips on the one on the left but that is all. Almost every antler point is larger on the one on the right.

The one on the right appears to be a 6x8 and looks pretty long with good mass. I would say 350+ and a definite shooter. The one on the left needs to keep growing, it would be interesting to see how his left antler developes, it doesn't look broken but it is growing funny...

I'll put this in a bit different light. While we all agree that the bull on the right is clearly the bigger bull, stop and think about this...

Either bull is bigger than many elk hunters will ever kill in their lifetime. Lots of elk hunters never kill a 300" bull in all their years of hunting.

So is this the same Bull looking at it from different angles, left side looks the same in both pics? ?

))))------->

Nope,2 different bulls. 1st brow tine on left of left bull is different than one on right, whale tail and mass too. Sorry.
