IDFG to Feed Deer

Looks like due to the deep snow and tough conditions between Banks and Lowman that IDFG is going to start feeding the deer there. The average snow depth in this critical winter range is 20 to 25" but currently there is over 40" so its time to help them out.

Thats double the normal snow depth, so there will be twice the usual amount of winterkill, at least.
If they don't start feeding real soon, they are not going to save many deer.
Hopefully its not too late.

South central part of the state, about 40 miles north of Boise on the South Fork of the Payette River. It is major winter range for many deer and elk.
