unit 5 forth season

The third season up in that area was not good at all. I actually have outfitters that are only going to hunt the 1st and second seasons in some of their ranches because it seems to be better earlier. I am not sure if this is the norm or not, but last year was definitely a down year as far as the 3rd season was concerned.

come on guys, Ive got a 12 year old son itching to shoot something with horns as his 1st deer or elk, he has no points , anyone have any suggestions, I was just looking at the draw odds and looking for somewhere that doesnt take any points.

Unit 5 is largely private with big time outfitters, i.e. 3 Forks, Snake River Outfitters, etc. There is some public ground in the middle of all those ranches but it's a pain in the arse to get to. Unless you draw a ranching for wildlife tag I wouldn't waste my time there. Sent you a pm on other areas to try.
