Hey guys, My name is Thomas Ott and I'm from Alabama. I've drawn an early archery 6A AZ tag. I've been doing some research on unit and am fairly familiar with the unit at this point. I have my ideas on areas I want to look into and places I'll avoid. This will be DIY totally so I wanted to get other opinions from anyone willing to share first hand info on the unit! I know there's lots of tags for this hunt and I feel avoiding the pressure will be the key to success. I've hunted NM in the Gila before and CO but never AZ. Thanks a bunch for any pointers!

Bull or Cow, you have drawn an excellent tag. In spite of what you may have heard, 6A has more than a few 320-350 bulls running around in it. I have reached that point in my hunting career that I enjoy helping other people out ALMOST as much as I enjoy the hunts myself! I will be up there in late November helping a buddy of mine get his first bull.
