MT Dutton Muzzle Elk

Hi guys,
Looks like I am hunting the Dutton again. I had the muzzleloader tag in 95 and helped a friend on a rifle tag in 2011. just wondering what your thoughts are in relationship to previous years. Not looking for any info on any areas just curious on the overall quality of the unit compared to the past.

I hunted the late hunt last year, and it was good. Plenty of Bulls kicking around, some good ones too! You've hunted it before, so I won't give you the standard warnings about the terrain ;-)

My buddy spent some significant time down there and shot the largest bull he saw a 300.

I called this bull it on the second weekend of the spike elk hunt on the south end of Dutton. I think they will still be rutting pretty good on the muzzle loader hunt so it should be a fun hunt.

Yes, sounds about right. Make sure and tell everyone you know that there is only 300" bulls down there ;-)
