Fall '07 Muley SE Idaho

Here is a picture of my buddy and I. I helped him get this nice little muley last fall. Talk about scouting everything out, and then putting him in the wrong drainage. Well I guess only I thought he was in the wrong drainage, cause he came out with the trophy, and I ate tag soup.

Nice deer and welcome from a fellow SE Idahoan. (I was in the right drainage, but can't figure out how to post pictures....you've only done 4 posts and I've been here for 3 years; I'm jealous.)

Tag soup is a lot easier eating when you helped your friend get his deer. i passed on a decent 4x3 blacktail last year at daylight, opening day. I continued to glass the area while putting him to bed. He was still there when my buddy got back from his walk-about a couple hours later. He couldn't hardly believe me or the deer until i finally showed it to him. He got pretty darn excited but in the end, made a nice clean one shot kill.

I had tag soup this winter but it didn't really taste all that bad.
