colorado unit 21

Yeah for deer. I dont have many points but from what I gather a nonresident can draw that unit with 6 or 7 points for the second season. This was kind of what I wanted to eventually do but I heard the deer that spend the second season there are small. I have a friend that went there last year and killed a buck that scored in the 180's but that deer may have been there due only to the early snow in the high country. This would all transpire years from now but I was just trying to gather some info before waiting that long and wasting all those points when I could kill deer that size with little or no points in a unit offering some higher country.

It took 8 pts for a Non-Resident last year to draw 2nd season. There were some Non-Res with 7pts, but not a lot.

Sounds like to me that your friend gave you the info that you are looking for. I would say that a muley in the 180s is a "good" buck.

Both beautiful deer. Did you guided or unguided and private or public. Did you pass on a lot of smaller deer or see any bigger while hunting. Again, beutiful deer and thanks for the response.
