With the winter Colorado has had I've felt bad even talking about hunting deer there while they were dying, I've made a couple good donations but that's about all you can do.

Now with the deadline less than two weeks away it's time to make a choice. this is going to be an interesting year, we don't know how bad the Gunnison die off is going to be but we know it's bad, same around Eagle county? so how many less tags? new seasons, who's switching areas, it's a crap shoot like never before.

Nobody wants to tip their hand quite yet but does anyone care to predict winter kill and the effects on the herds as best they can? I know it's a little early but so is the deadline.

Dude,
Have you tried calling the biologists for those areas? Ask them those same questions. They should be able to give you some insight on what it may look like. Ask to speak to someone who has been out feeding the deer this whole time. Those are the people who will know what to predict.

It's Bush's fault!!!

I did try without much luck , about all they would say is it's too early to tell. I'm sure it is but that's the crutch of the problem, April 1st is too early to tell. my guess is a lot of higher point guys will jump to the less effected areas and run the points up to draw there. I know it's anyone's guess, I was just wondering what others are guessing.

As far as picking what areas to look for and the tag deadline comming up, you could always go with the Tags program that Cabelas offers.

Sorry, i just could not help it. lol

Im going for the sheep tag but points for everything else, all I have been getting from friends and family is all bad news. going to be a wait and see year for me.
